There are squeaky wheels who spend their lives trying to justify solar costs, as well as stalwarts, only finding negative arguments to undermine solar progress.

Some do numbers and base their thoughts on return on investment. Then you ask them about return on investment on their car or caravan and…ah no, that’s different!

Meanwhile, the quieter ones have been enjoying the benefits of solar for the last 20 years. And we are one of those 20-year examples.

It’s all about CHOICE.

We have chosen to have a larger more comfortable vessel, with a few nice-to-haves.

Outside the initial outlay, solar is a no-brainer for power generation. The benefits are immediate and costs are a lot lower than 20 years ago. It’s how you store this free energy that makes it worthwhile.

Lithium batteries have improved out of sight too. Here too, the initial outlay is high.

With the last three vessels we have sold, all have been self-sufficient with solar. They all sold in a few days and at top dollar. The solar equipment was a well-known brand that people trusted and professionally installed for insurance purposes.

At sale time, we were a winner and recouped our solar outlay.
